EISA has released two consultation reports to local government sectors regarding disability employment promotion and cultivation of DPOs

EISA team members, including the academic adviser, Professor Wanhong Zhang, Director Peng Ding, and Researcher Yijun Liu, attended the Discussion Meeting hosted by the Employment & Education Department of China Disabled Persons’ Federation (CDPF) in Beijing this September. The Discussion Meeting had a focus on amendments to the State Council’s Regulation on Employments for Persons with Disabilities (2007). Additionally, EISA has recently provided consultation reports to the Hubei Provincial Disabled Persons’ Federation on promoting the employment rights of persons with disabilities and enhancing the role of disabled people’s organizations (DPOs) in the provincial 14th Five-Year Plan. With permission, we are pleased to put the two reports, Report on the Employment Promotion of Persons with Disabilities in Hubei Province (by Wanhong Zhang) and Report on the Cultivation and Development of DPOs in Hubei Province (by Peng Ding) on SINOPO project website (see PUBLICATION). Please note that the two reports are work papers in process for further publication at this stage and citation is necessary. Two reports are mainly provided in Chinese as of now and the English version is under consideration. We will upload the translated documents on time once they are ready.
