136 years ago, Norway reached it’s peak in emigration. From 1840-1915, almost 1 million Norwegians emigrated from little Norway to the USA.  It makes one wonder why immigration is so difficult for us. Through this bachelor thesis, I intend to challenge Norwegians symbolically in the context of prejudice and cultural disrespect towards immigrants and what their cultures have to offer.  Many are quick to judge and this is what i have chosen to be inspired by.
