In my thesis I’ve been exploring how to use inspiration from and strong female characters in sci-fi and fantasy movies to make a geek-fashion collection. Researching fandom and fan-culture, while asking questions about why many of these groups are so dominated by men, has inspired to highlight the strong role models you can find in these movies. We are the rebels is a Star Wars inspired collection designed for the average fandom woman, using subtle references to costumes and characters.
