NULL/zero is an exploration in silhouette and femininity within the principles of zero waste fashion design. With this project I wanted to be part of changing people’s view of sustainable clothing, and especially when it comes to zero waste. I chose to work with simple square-shaped pattern pieces to make all the clothing and then added simple techniques to give them a more organic appearance. By using gatherings and buttoning in the design the collection is made more lasting when it comes to changes in fashion trends, as the user of the garment can easily change the look.
I ended up producing no fabric scraps after creating this collection.
