Scientific Research Under Warfare Conditions in Ukraine and Palestine

This workshop brings together researchers, practitioners, and academic partners to discuss how research communities operate, adapt, and collaborate under wartime and displacement conditions. The program highlights practical experiences, challenges, and strategies for supporting researchers working in — or affected by — conflict environments.
Workshop Goals
The workshop explores:
- Tools and strategies to motivate and sustain research during wartime
- Opportunities for participation in local and international research networks
- Research priorities related to survival, resilience, and community needs
- Challenges faced by researchers inside and outside conflict zones
- The role of international cooperation and joint research initiatives
- Lessons learned from case studies and best practices
- Gender-related challenges in research participation and mobility
- Strategies to improve research environments and logistics
