The privacy protection policy of Nordic College of Caring Science (NCCS) addresses how and in what manner we protect your personal data and your privacy according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection legislation is important to us.
In order for us to be able to administer your membership in NCCS, it is necessary that you provide us with certain personal data.
The data we collect
When you become a member in NCCS, we ask you for your name, address, email address, telephone number, profession and employment. There is no obligation or legal requirement for you to provide the data. However, it is necessary for us to collect and save the data in order for you to be able to enter into agreements regarding, and administer, your membership.
How collected data is used, purposes, and legal basis for the processing
The data, which you personally submit to us, is used to by the secretary of NCCCS to register and administer your membership, after you have entered the organization as full member. The information when applied for membership is the same as was sent to Wiley for administering you membership. NCCS uses your data when we communicate with you and provide information regarding news in e-letters to the members. The legal basis for this purpose is that we need to carry out the processing to administer the membership and to perform the agreement between us entailed by the membership.
Collected and saved data are used for analysis and statistics for surveys of the membership situation in NCCS. In these surveys, it is impossible to identify the members’ personal data. The legal basis for these purposes is that the processing is necessary for the legitimate interest we have in being able to use the data for evaluate the member situation in the Society and effects of marketing of NCCS.
By becoming a member in NCCS you provide your consent to us, to send you personal data to Wiley to be a subscriber of Scandinavian Journal of Caring Sciences. You can read about Wiley’s person policy at http://www.wiley.com/privacy.
Personal data are saved as long as you are a member in NCCS. When your membership has been terminated, we will erase your data.
