Underwater robots can help detect pollution at sea

Unmanned Surface Vessel purchased in collaboration with OsloMet AI lab

OsloMet Oceanlab and OsloMet AI lab have purchased an Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) to be used in several education, research, and science dissemination projects.

The USV is manufactured by Norwegian company Maritime Robotics, and can be highly customized to carry different sensor payloads and equipment. The USV is expected to be delivered end of August, and there are already several Master and European Semester Projects (EPS) working with it.
