«Banning at first sight: fix, regulate, avoid» Julian Sefton-Green

I dag holdt Julian Sefton-Green (Deakin University, School of Education) en forelesning i #ReflectionStudio.

Thank you Julian for such an inspiring lecture! #skjermdebatt

Celebrating ReflectionStudios’ grand opening!

On April 14, 2026 we celebrated ReflectionStudio’s first anniversary — a new space dedicated to simulation, experimentation, and inquiry at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University,
#GFU. This research and practice arena opens up new possibilities for student teachers, school teachers, educators, and educational researchers to experiment with pedagogical innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. The aim is to foster critical reflection on the use of technology‑enhanced teaching and learning.

Throughout the day, hands‑on workshops showed the potential of #ReflectionStudio across several stations, including VR experiences, programming activities, and demonstrations of our technical equipment for data collection, alongside opportunities to share feedback.

Later, project leader Rolf Steier, together with postdocs Morgane Domanchin and Linda Undrum, discussed the origins of ReflectionStudio as well as their ongoing work connected to it. Our research partner Hilde Wågsås Afdal from the #KITES project also raised some interesting future use of ReflectionStudio for developing scenario-based simulations.

🍀 The next step is to build a community around ReflectionStudio so that this arena is actively used and becomes highly relevant for its community. To be continued… 🤞

Many thanks to our research group Digital Learning Arenas (#DLA) led by Siv Aalbergsjø & Dr. Halla Holmarsdottir, #GFU, and OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University for supporting us in this adventure!
