The first national workshop took place in Norway

A very important element of the RRI-Practice project are the national workshops, which represent the first stakeholder consultation in the project. Their aim is to explore how responsibility in science and innovation is understood across different national cultures. The workshops not only provide important input for the subsequent tasks that will be carried out in the project, but they also function as dialogue fora and as learning platforms for the stakeholders.

The first in the series of national workshops in the RRI-Practice project was the Norwegian one. Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HiOA) organised a national workshop on responsibility in research and innovation on February 2. Altogether 13 representatives from different segments of the Norwegian research and innovation system gathered for lively discussions, presenting a wide spectrum of perspectives on responsibility and RRI in Norway.

Partners from other countries participating in the project will follow with their national workshops in the coming weeks.
