The University of Padova hosted the national stakeholder workshop of the RRI-Practice project on February 23. The workshop gathered 14 representatives from universities, science parks, funding organizations, NGOs and public administration bodies to discuss their experiences, positions and assessments of Responsible Research and Innovation, for their organizations and for the Italian science, technology and innovation system in general. Though RRI as such appeared to be relatively new to the Italian community of researchers and innovators, the conversation examined several initiatives, activities and programs that are convergent with RRI goals and practices. In the final segment of the meeting, the group proposed a list of priority actions to mainstream RRI in research organizations.
