Mathematical modeling
Mathematical modeling is an academic group at the department of Computer Science at OsloMet.
We perform research and teaching within mathematics, numerical simulation, statistics, physics, quantum computing, and related subjects.
Mathematical Modeling is the art of using mathematics to describe natural processes. One example is how we use mathematical models to describe the physics of the atmosphere to predict future weather and climate.
The Mathematical Modeling group at OsloMet has a broad expertise ranging from pure mathematics to modeling physical processes, statistical analysis of data, and numerical simulation.
There is also a research group with the same name and many of the same members. The research group organizes seminars on topics related to mathematical modeling, whereas the academic group is an organizational unit at OsloMet.
