About PhD-forum

See English version below

PhD forum

The PhD forum is a central forum for PhD candidates at OsloMet. The forum consists of two representatives from each PhD program: one main representative and one deputy. The tasks and purpose of the forum is to raise issues that concern PhD candidates’ professional development and general working conditions. If you have any concerns you consider relevant to address, you can contact the PhD-representatives of your program, who will raise the issue in the forum. The topics dealt with by the PhD forum should be of general character and not merely a matter of concern to one single program, but rather issues that are relevant to all PhD candidates. The council also select PhD representatives to The Education Committee (Utdanningsutvalget (UU)) and The Committee for Research and Professional Development (Utvalget for forskning og utvikling (FOUU)) at the institutional level. Topics that specifically concern your own PhD program should be raised with the head of your program, your PhD coordinator, or with the program’s PhD candidate representative. The PhD forum can guide you in whom to address with a topic that you unsuccessfully have tried to discuss on program level. The forum will not get involved in issues that concern individual candidates.

The PhD forum holds monthly meetings.

All posts published at the PhD forum blog will be in English. This is for the benefit of international fellows, and in consideration of the time members of PhD-forum saves by writing posts in one language  only.

If you have questions or issues you would like to raise, please contact the representatives of your PhD program or get in touch with us via email (contact us).
