About me

Maryam has a background in Applied Computer and Information Technology with an emphasis on mathematical modeling. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and a Master’s degree in Applied Computer and Information Technology from OsloMet. She completed her Master’s degree in the spring of 2023, with a thesis titled  “Mathematical Insights into Eye Gaze Dynamics of Autistic Children”. She has contributed to a quantum computing project at Ruter AS company, using a quantum annealing approach to solve optimization problems related to ticket control and vehicle routing.

Research Interests

Currently, Maryam is a PhD candidate working on computational methods in quantum chemistry, specifically Density Functional Theory (DFT). She is a part of the ERC project REGAL at OsloMet.

Teaching

Autumn 2024: MAMO2100 (modern physics)

During her two years as a Master’s student at OsloMet, she was a teaching assistant in the Quantum Information Technology course. Following her Master’s, she assisted in teaching the Semi- and Unsupervised Learning course at Kristiania.
