Tarjei is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Oslo Metropolitan University. He completed his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy Sciences in 2015 at the University of Bergen. Tarjei is a physiotherapist with clinical experience from primary care, working with patients suffering from musculoskeletal pain disorders. Since 2010, he has been affiliated with the Department of Physiotherapy at Oslo Metropolitan University, where he currently teaches health technology, physiotherapy assessment, and treatment. He earned his PhD in 2024, focusing on the prognosis of workers on sick leave due to musculoskeletal disorders.
In addition to his academic position, Tarjei holds a postdoctoral fellowship at REMEDY, where his research explores the use of digital tools in clinical studies. His broader research interests include prognostic models for workers on sick leave due to musculoskeletal disorders and the implementation of technological solutions in rehabilitation and clinical research.
