Pernille holds an MSc in Chiropractic from AECC, University of Bournemouth, UK (2001), and has clinical experience from primary care settings in the UK, Italy, and Norway. She completed her PhD at the University of Oslo in 2022, focusing on pain trajectories and prognostic indicators in patients with neck pain. Her current research explores co-occurring pain and psychological distress in adolescents and young adults, with a focus on long-term outcomes such as academic achievement, work participation, and healthcare utilization. She previously contributed to the ReISE project as a researcher, where she worked on the process and economic evaluation of a supported employment intervention for individuals with persistent pain and unemployment. Pernille is a co-supervisor on a PhD project on neck pain at the University of Oslo and a member of the ELIB Research Group. Her work integrates clinical insight with methodological innovation, including digital data collection and trajectory-based modeling, to improve musculoskeletal health and work participation outcomes.
