Madeleine is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Oslo Metropolitan University. She completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy in 2022 at McMaster University, Canada, where she also contributed to equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives and published research on the effectiveness of peer instruction in physiotherapy education. Prior to her PhD, Madeleine completed clinical internships in community physiotherapy, acute care, and rehabilitation, focusing on musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and stroke rehabilitation. Madeleine’s current research explores healthcare use trajectories related to musculoskeletal pain and mental distress, using registry data to investigate the impact of adverse childhood experiences on these conditions.
