About the project

This project aims to produce new knowledge about how civil society and the authorities of contemporary Russia interact through formal institutions such as Public Chambers, consultative councils and other arrangements. Part of the drive for the project stems from an academic interest in finding out if the “network governance” idea developed under Western European conditions is appliccable as an analytical framework to countries outside its original geographical arena.

On this website we will put out links to publications in newspapers and scientific journals that we publish during the project (see right margin: publications).

By the end of the project we will also publish a book on network governance as a phenomenon in the Russian context.
