Join our seminar where we discuss the government’s new digitalization strategy Fremtidens digitale Norge. December 5 from 14:00 – 16:30. NB: In Norwegian.
Theme: In the new digitalization strategy, the government has set a goal of making Norway the most digitalized country in the world by 2030. Digitalization is expected to help us solve the societal challenges we face, such as a shortage of labor and the need for transformation. But how are we going to achieve this – and what does it actually mean?
Program: First, three speakers will each give a 15-minute presentation, followed by a panel discussion with participants from various sectors. Finally, we will open the floor for questions and input from the audience.
Introductory speakers:
- Christen Krogh: Krogh is the rector of OsloMet. He holds a master’s degree in engineering and a PhD in legal theory, philosophy, and informatics, with a long academic career across various research and educational institutions. Krogh asks: If Norway aims to become the most digitalized country in the world, what could be the consequences of an unclear concept of digitalization?
- Asbjørn Finstad: Finstad is the Director of Strategic ICT and Digitalization at KS. He has extensive leadership experience in the healthcare sector and other public institutions. Finstad will outline the ecosystem of challenges facing Norwegian municipalities and argue why digitalization is the most critical tool we need to seize new opportunities and solve many of the significant challenges we face.
- Bjørn Vatne: Vatne is an author and journalist with a background in sociology and media studies. He currently serves as the head of the Norwegian Writers’ Association. Vatne has written several books depicting a dystopian view of digital development. In his presentation, Vatne will outline various scenarios of a fully digitalized society.
