Appointed academic lead for new initiative

Professor Marit Haldar, director of CEDIC, has been appointed academic lead for the new OsloMet House in Lillestrøm.

Starting in 2026, OsloMet House will serve as a collaborative arena for recruitment, research, innovation, and competence development in the Romerike region, contributing to the development of OsloMet’s future Campus Romerike in central Lillestrøm.

In this role, Marit Haldar will work with academic environments across OsloMet, as well as regional partners, to develop activities and collaborations that respond to local needs and opportunities. Her experience leading research projects in close cooperation with municipalities and local communities provides a strong foundation for this work.

The initiative is supported by Romerike Sparebank through funding extending to 2030 and is the result of collaboration between OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University, Lillestrøm kommune, Kunnskapsbyen, and other regional partners.
