UNESCOs new report Intensified Attacks, New Defences Developments in the Fight to Protect Journalists and End Impunity was presented at Oslo last week under the headline  #KeepTruthAlive  

Guy Berger, Director for Freedom of Expression and Media Development at UNESCO presented the report to the 5th annual conference on the safety of journalists, organised by the research group Media, War and Conflict (MEKK) at OsloMet, with support from UNESCO, Fritt Ord, OsloMet Digital Journalism Research Group (DJRG)  and JMIC. 

According to the report almost 90 percent of those responsible for the killing of 1,109 journalists around the world from 2006 to 2018 have not been convicted.
