Corona-webinar for Afghan journalists
Journalism & Media International Center (JMIC) conducted a webinar on Ethics and Safety when Covering the Corona Pandemic on zoom 17June, with experienced trainer Abeer Saady.
Around 25 participants came from different regions of Afghanistan. Local host was Abdul Mujeeb Khalvatgar, Director of Nai Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan.
JMIC has conducted similar webinars with participants from other countries this spring.
This webinar is an initial part of a JMIC course on Peace Journalism in co-operation with Nai and Kabul University.
Due to the Corona situation, this mostly web-based one-year course will start in August and conclude in May 2021. According to Director of NAI, Abdul Mujeeb Khalvatgar, more than 900 journalists and media workers in Afghanistan are affected by the COVD19 virus.
