Editor in the Philippines risks six years in prison

Maria Ressa (56), editor of news site Rappler since 2012 was found guilty of libel yesterday, and may face up to six years in prison.

Journalism students used digital tools to collaborate during the annual Rig on press freedom.

The Rig on press freedom is held at OsloMet every spring. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s project had to be arranged digitally, as the university was closed and the students were spread all over Norway.

Photojournalism students from four countries launched their book and posters exhibition at OsloMet Sunday. 

The launch was streamed live to reach those who could not be in Oslo. The webpage went viral earlier in the week.
