PANEL DISCUSSION ON THE SITUATION OF WOMEN JOURNALISTS AND HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS IN AFGHANISTAN
Female human rights defenders and journalists live under constant threats in Afghanistan. In spite of long peace negotiations, there seems to be little protection for those who still dare to raise their voices, as individual asassinations have increased. The country has suffered 40 years of war. This webinar focuses on what role global bodies such as the UN, and Norway as a new member of the UN security council, can play in this situation.
