UNESCO prize to Maria Ressa

The Philippine journalist Maria Ressa receives this year Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom prize from UNESCO.

She will attend Defending Press Freedom and Freedom of Expression Online Protest Action from Manila – organized by International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT) UNESCO in Jakarta and JMIC Monday 3 May. 

Also 3 May, Gerald Walulya at the Department of Journalism and Communication (DJC) at Makerere University in Uganda has invited the Minister of Information and many others to a full day program under the title On COVID-19 and Elections: Media Freedom, Polarization and (Politics of) the Future. For more information, contact onasol@oslomet.no
