ABOUT
Akiah Astral Ottesen holds a degree in psychology from the University of Bergen in 2005, and a PhD on psychotic illness in immigrant populations from the faculty of medicine at the University of Oslo in 2011. Specialized in clinical psychology for adults in 2019. Has a broad experience in research and clinical work with trauma and psychosis, with a special interest in cross-cultural psychology and is editor of a recent book on the subject (2020). Currently employed as a researcher II and involved on projects concerning refugee mental health, trust after sexual assault and The Utøya study.
