ABOUT

Svitlana Bezchotnikova is a professor of social communications. Her scientific interests embrace media study and digital social communications technologies.  Professor S. Bezchotnikova got doctoral degree in 2008 in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Contemporary research work focuses on transmedia storytelling, factcheking, e-governance and corporative social responsibility issues.

Since 2009 professor S. Bezchotnikova combined teaching with communication practices as a director of TV and Radio Company ” Eurostudio”, Chairman of the Committee on Women’s Entrepreneurship of the Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry (since 2016), as a consultant and project manager on political communications on local elections (2006-2015), member of the board of the Mariupol branch of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (since 2016).

From 1998 till 2023 worked as a dean of Philology and Mass Communications Faculty of Mariupol State University.

Svitlana Bezchotnikova has experience of conducting activities as a member of Scientific and Methodological Board of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, reviewer of the National Standards of Teaching Journalism on Bachelor and Master levels; as a member of the Scientific Council of Education, Science and Technologies of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2019-2022); expert of National Quality Assuarance Agency (from 2020). In 2020 Svitlana Bezchotnikova was awarded an Honorable Title of “Honorable Worker of Education” by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
