ABOUT
I am a lawyer with a background in academic research as well as IT management, currently serving as Professor at the University of Bergen. My main interests are legal aspects of the digital environment and content distribution and consumption, such as intellectual property, privacy, and data protection laws. Besides technology and digitalization, I am also interested in the approximation of laws as an instrument of European integration of Ukraine and the broader implication of harmonization on markets and society.
I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in international relations and international law at Lviv Ivan Franko University (Ukraine) and a master’s degree in Law and Technology at Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia). My PhD degree was conferred by the University of Tartu (Estonia), and I have conducted post-doc research at the Max-Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (Germany).
