ABOUT
A graduate of the Yaroslav the Wise National Law Academy of Ukraine, Oleksiy Cherepukhin works at the intersection of several sciences: law, sociology and political science. Since 1998 he has been the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Mediation Group, and since 2001 he has been an arbitrator of the National Mediation Service and Political Science. – He has been an arbitrator of the National Mediation and Conciliation Service of Ukraine since 2001. He has taught and implemented the author’s course “System of Alternative Conflict Resolution” based on his textbook in higher educational institutions of Ukraine and former USSR countries. Led projects to introduce mediation into the legal field of Ukraine. Author of negotiation process methodologies. Developed and in 2001 published the first set of mediation rules based on the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine, is the author of numerous scientific publications on mediation, which in collective work with other authors contributed to the adoption of the Law of Ukraine “On Mediation”, adopted by the Supreme Council of Ukraine on November 16, 2021.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Democratic reforms in Ukraine, organization of negotiation process between the parties to the conflict, mediation, sociological research, methods of countering judicial corruption in Ukraine, national identity and self-identification of Russians and Ukrainians, refugee rights.

- 1998-2022 Project Manager for the promotion of mediation in the socio-legal field of Ukraine.
- 2005 Sociological research project of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University “Ukrainians in Moldova” https://photo.unian.net/photo/18001 to determine the level of rights of Ukrainian diaspora in Moldova. The presentation of the project took place in the Supreme Council of Ukraine with the participation of the Moldovan Ambassador to Ukraine, where bilateral interethnic disputes of national minorities were settled with the help of mediation.
