In March 2025, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron announced the creation of a Coalition of the Willing in support of Ukraine. Today, one of the pressing questions is how this coalition can provide a credible security guarantee to Ukraine. While the idea of a reassurance force, a Multinational Force Ukraine, has been floating for a while now, little public information is available about what such a military force would realistically look like.
