Communication of the HOMERISK project results to the general public will be partly done through an exhibition at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology (Norsk Teknisk Museum – NTM) in 2017. Exhibition working title: «When the nets break down». Venue: NTM, 09:00 -12:00. Participants: Jan Alfred Andersson (NTM), Aiyana Hudgins (NTM), Jo Helle-Valle (SIFO), and Ardis Storm-Mathisen (SIFO).
Nordic Meeting in Stockholm, November 26-27, 2014
The Homerisk project participated in this event (Helle-Valle and Storm-Mathisen from SIFO), which was facilitated by the Research Council of Norway. The Homerisk project received positive attention from the participants of the Nordic meeting, in particular the focus on households, practices and networks, in addition to the bottom-up anthropological perspective being employed.

Nov. 21, 2014: Kick-off meeting
This is the first official meeting of the project. The meeting will be held at SIFO and all partners and advisory board members are invited:
08.30: Welcome, introduction by project leader and presentation of participants.
09.00-10.30: Presentation of the two crisis cases in each country + on planned exhibition.

11.00-12.00: Advisory board members present their roles and backgrounds (10 min. each).
12.00-13.00: Dialogue, based on the previous presentations.
14.00-15.30: Dialogues on the organisation and operationalization of the project, with a special focus on the Work Packages that shall be implemented before the next project meeting (WP1 & WP2).
Evening: Project dinner at Mr. Bay in Oslo city center.
Oct. 7, 2014, The Research Council of Norway invited all new projects within the VAM, FINNUT, SAMRISK II and Sykefravær programs to a Startup-meeting. The meeting was compulsory for project and administrative leaders. Jo Helle-Valle, Ardis Storm-Mathisen and Alexander Schjøll attended the meeting on behalf of the HOMERISK project.

The Homerisk project received funding from the Samrisk II programme on May 30, 2014. Samrisk II is managed by the Norwegian Research Council. For more information about the project as presented by the NRC, click here
The Homerisk project website is now active. The ambition is to post news, activities and publications as the project develops. It is a public website, hence the content published will be available to researchers, policy makers and the public at large.
